Philanthropist and goodwill ambassador

A humanitarian figure connected to Machghara who supported health and social projects and was appointed a goodwill ambassador for UNDP Live Lebanon.

Biography

Rabha Raichouni Eidi became known for charitable and humanitarian work serving Machghara and the surrounding area.

UNDP’s Live Lebanon initiative appointed her as a goodwill ambassador in recognition of her support for community-based projects.

She established the Hajj Mehdi Eidi Center and entrusted it to Amel Association International for operation, later supporting the creation of a nursing institute at the centre. The facility provides affordable care to a large number of patients.

Her 2017 appointment recognised charitable and social work carried out in Lebanon and the United States, as well as her efforts to mobilise diaspora support for development and humanitarian projects in Lebanon.

She later funded the establishment of a nursing institute at the Al Hajj Mehdi Eidi Center in Machghara, with support from her son Rami Eidi, connecting health care with vocational education and local opportunity.
