Hussein Hassan Mansour

Biography
Hussein Hassan Mansour was born in Rashaya in 1915 and belonged to Machghara, where he received his early education before entering commerce and business. He contributed to the establishment of Beirut-Riyadh Bank and served as its president and general manager for many years.
He entered politics and was elected to parliament in 1960, 1964, 1968, and 1972. He continued serving during the parliamentary extensions of the civil-war period and participated in committees covering defence, public works, the economy, and foreign affairs.
Mansour served as a minister without portfolio in 1960 and was appointed Minister of General Planning in 1969, resigning from that office three days later. He died in 1995 and was buried in Machghara.
