Dr. Daoud Sayegh

Biography
Daoud Sayegh is a Lebanese jurist, university professor, and writer who holds a state doctorate in public law from the Sorbonne. He taught law at several Lebanese universities and contributed to public life through research, writing, lectures, and constitutional and political debate.
He served as an adviser to Prime Minister Rafik Hariri beginning in 1990 and continued in political advisory work. He was also active in Muslim-Christian dialogue in Lebanon and abroad and addressed questions of constitutional government, coexistence, and Lebanon’s Arab and international relations.
His books include The Lebanese System: Constants and Transformations, Lebanon and the World: Between Role and Necessity, and Greater Lebanon in Its First Centennial: A House Without a Fence. In 2015 he received the Grand Cross of the Order of Saint Sylvester in recognition of his civil and interfaith work.
