Origins and Role

Ogero serves as the executive arm of Lebanon’s Ministry of Telecommunications and operates core fixed-telephone, data, and internet infrastructure. The Machghara exchange forms part of the network serving West Bekaa.

No official published opening date was found for the Machghara exchange. Its existence is nevertheless documented through operational notices, while Ogero also lists Machghara in network-development planning.

    Ogero lists Machghara in its 2025–2026 LTE-A deployment plan, while noting that deployment schedules remain subject to change.
